Maybe sometimes, however if you do not have reference before upgrade from the same point/angle and from the same camera, it's mostly useless.

Nice piece of engineering Peter! It is quiter then mine

It's funny. Mine vibrates from time to time, however I've just discovered that in stand by mode (the espresso machine on but not extracting) the pump stands @ 12 bars only.

E o presiune conjuncturala, in repaus.

Pompa in repaus nu ar trebui sa fie sub presiune (exceptand cea din retea DACA nu are electrovalva in fata ei).

Ce-i drept, nu cunosc aparatul, acestea fiind doar supozitii.

Thank you. It is not that difficult to replace shock absorbers yourself on standard machine, maybe you will have to disconnect pump from motor for easier maniputation. Anyhow, start with the 4 nuts from the bottom of the machine, so you can lift the motor and move it almost out for easier access to upper nuts (I was able to replace the absorbers one by one with the motor at the place just lifted it up a bit - that was very difficult task). You need M4 shock absorbers, 45 SHa (Shore hardness), diameter 15mm, height 10mm (15mm would be even better, but I didn't want to lift the pump that much because of my extra hydraulics). Link to source of absorbers Shock absorbers
Before shock absorbers upgrade the drip tray rattled from time to time.

12 bar remaining pressure after extraction is pretty normal also on my machine. I think that this is because pump bypass works only when there is a flow, but when the flow is zero, pressure is rising. Check with blind basket and you will see, that at first the pressure is settled at let's say 9 bar, but then starts slowly to rise.

I was thinking that first, but after looking at hydraulic schematics, the pressure gauge is connected just right after the pump and before non-return valve to brew boiler. There is also no overpressure valve in the brew boiler and in brew water path. Overpressure valve is in the steam boiler only, but this one is isolated from brew pressure with solenoid valve normally closed.

My bad, I was in a hurry and wrote from memory only, however wanted to double check later.
So once again:
Vlaicu is correct. Pressure gauge is connected to the manifold after non-return valve from the pump, and there is also expansion valve from manifold to the waste water outlet, so in the idle the pressure gauge shows expansion pressure (limited by expansion valve to 12 bar) from heating of the cold water.

Hahaha, that's exactly the way I was thinking about (and/or ss mesh 1x1mm), but you are faster in realization (I use steaming very rarely, so I don't care too much) ... Good job!
I guess you also utilized left and right side grid bottom "rift" to fix that ss insert there - I would do so.

I think I know what you meant.
Yes the solution is like that, with the rifts at the end.
BUT, the plate is to close to the original plate, and it does not look very good.
So now first I put the new one and than the original one over it.
I have to cut 5mm from the old one, becaus now the new plate is laying over the other and does not fit very well, it is somehow lifted (ok, there ar just 2 mm).

I wanted also a mesh with smaller holes. I did not find any until now,
for a reasnobale price. Sainles Steel is expensive and nobody is iving you just 20 cm x 20 cm out from a big one.

I don't understand, why I doen't receive new post annotations even I an signed for them, so sorry for late reply.

Once I bought stainless steel mesh 1x1mm and also asked for sample of ss mesh 0.3x0.3mm . These are not very expensive even in 1m minimal order quantiy length (I haven't asked, if smaller length could be ordered too).

You have started me to draw some under tray grill too, thank you ... Smile

Strange thing has happened today, after longer time of idle (but not longer than ca. 1 hour) the display was off, entirely blank also during extraction (no clock icon moving on the screen, like in timer mode) . Unfortunately I've noticed that after started the extraction, so I wasn't prepared with camera ready. Extraction ended OK (was volumetric, lever in the lowest position). I had to switch the machine off and on to make the display working again. I didn't try to push the rotary knob, that unfortunately haven't crossed my mind.
Have anybody noticed the same issue? Is that "only" a bug in firmware, that machine somehow went to sleep mode and haven't waked up on lever selector? Razvan, what do you think?

I do not receive annotations either.

I did not find any mesh. BUT be aware 1x1 mm ist too small.
The one with black plastic is a good dimension, 3 mm.
0,3 x 0,3 I tried - of aluminium - it is to small and the water remains in the mesh, in the holes.
With the steamer you splash teh water from the mesh all over the machine.

The one I posted now, with the holes of 10mm is ok. 8 mm or 6mm would be better.
I am looking now for 3mmx10 mm holes. Would fit/look better.

Salut, :).
Vezi ca am publicat o solutie noua.
Rezultatul e cam acelasi.

I'm going to design ovals, not holes, and place them strategicaly, so the steam would not splash the water from the tray, but we'll see, if the design is successful. Will keep you posted.

N3cks, nice!

I also finished 2nd version. I added side recessed to insert for perfect fit with no stack heigh conflict with tray grid. Insert openings are even better placed with perfect alignment with tray grid braces to brake steam stream. One side is mirror polished (originaly protected with the foil), the other one I've brushed with 600-800-1000 grit so I can choose, which one looks better. Smile

Picture shows version 1 and version 2 comparison.
