Based on our current progress, the updated delivery timeline is as follows:
- First Batch: June
- Second Batch: Mid–late June
Project Update
In February, we sent out dozens of units to some users for testing. Based on their feedback, we’ve been making continuous improvements.
We did overestimate our timeline, and we sincerely apologize for the delay.
Our goal remains the same: to deliver a grinder that is reliable, consistent, and truly enjoyable to use. Thank you for your patience.
Motto 80 – Optimization Progress
To further improve usability, grinding performance, and overall machine stability, we’ve been rolling out upgrades in phases. Here’s the current progress:
Completed Improvements
Mechanical & Grinding Performance
- Bean hopper anti-jamming improvement
Reduced bean jamming through structural adjustments.
- Grind chamber optimization
Tolerances within the grind chamber have been refined. A sealing silicone ring has been added to the end cap to reduce retention.
- Chute optimization
Added declumper to improve grounds distribution and reduce static.
- Grind adjustment system refinement
Tolerance correction and component matching have been optimized for smoother grind size adjustment.
- Rotating burr internal sweeper added
An internal sweeper has been introduced to reduce retention and improve consistency.
- Structural reinforcement
Key structural components have been strengthened to improve durability during transport and daily use.
- Motor drive optimization
The motor control strategy has been refined, resulting in improved vibration control, lower noise, and better torque performance.
Software & User Interaction
- On-device UI upgrade
Redesigned UI with clearer status indicators, grind size visualization, and quick switching between presets.
- Button interaction redesign
The control logic has been reworked to make operation more intuitive and efficient.
Upcoming Improvements
- App & Smart Features
A more complete BOOKOO N App integration is under development, including Wi-Fi setup, DFU, profile management, and grinding history tracking.
- UI & Localization
Further UI refinement and multilingual support are planned. Adjustable screen brightness will also be added.
- Packaging Optimization
Improved packaging and protection design, along with stricter drop and transport testing.
- Dosing Cup Redesign
Dosing cup redesign for better portafilter compatibility.
- Material & Tactile Improvements
Refinement of selected plastic components to enhance tactile feel and perceived quality.
- Espresso Burr Development
Ongoing testing and finalization of the SweetCore burr set.
- Mass Production Ramp-up
Once all optimizations are stabilized, we will proceed with full-scale production to ensure consistency and delivery reliability.

Customers who choose to wait will receive a complimentary PuckGo 3-in-1 Tamper (valued at $89), shipped together with the Motto 80.
We fully understand that delays can be frustrating. We sincerely apologize.
But this is also the reality of innovation. The journey from concept to a finished product is rarely smooth.
