Hi everyone! I’m thinking about upgrading my espresso machine from a Lelit PL41TEM to one of these
Rocket Appartamento
Or
La Marzocco Linea Micra
Clearly different price points but I read good reviews on both. What would you recommend and why?
From experience just because something is more expensive doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better and I don’t want to pay the brand only.
Thanks for your input!

Yes, it's better, no doubt about it. Rotary pump, thermal precision (these translate into better tasting shots) and short warmup time. You will not regret. The other one is a HX. I love HX tech, I owned at least 3 HX espresso machines, but saturated group is just better. DC Studio is also nice, just a bit heavier than the Micra.

Thank you for your advice, I am not that experienced, I owned a Gaggia Classic and now this Lelit. I tried the Rocket at a friend’s house, the shots looked and tasted great but never tried the Micra, that’s why I asked here maybe someone has experience with both.

you need a good grinder first. the shots from your firend tasted different because there are many variables of the shot - mainly the grider, user tamping, machine temperature and pressure , water etc.
tell us what grinder do you use in present, and, if you know, what grinder did your friend used.
thank's

I am using a DF54 grinder. My friend has a Eureka but I’m not sure which one.

it is ok for start, but if you will upgrade your machine, then you will need a grinder with bigger burrs and of a better quality. it will reflect on the brew taste
